What is PDRN ?
PDRN (Polydeoxyribonucleotide) is a low molecular weight DNA compound extracted from salmon sperm, with a structure highly compatible with human DNA. It is classified as a DNA-based biological agent and has been extensively studied in regenerative medicine and dermatology.
Scientifically, PDRN acts by binding to specific adenosine A2A receptors in the skin, triggering a cascade of biological processes that:
- fibroblast proliferation
- collagen synthesis
- tissue repair and cell turnover
- inflammation and oxidative stress
Its efficacy has been clinically validated in the treatment of skin wounds, burns, and post-laser recovery, and is now a key active ingredient in advanced Korean skincare protocols for improving skin elasticity, tone, and overall regeneration.
